Photo I took over a bog @ Black Moshannon on October 21, 2007.
We had gone to see the Orionids - Black Moshannon was the darkest place within practical driving distance from NYC, according to DarkSky Finder.
I brought my Meade ETX Schmidt-Cassegrain with a motor drive and the intent to mount my 5D on top for some tracked long exposures, but by the time I had set it up the LSD had kicked in.
I spent the night and early morning laying on the dock and listening to the meteors.  I swore I could hear them whispering.  I watched them reflected off the glassy finish of the bog, it was like a mirror.  It was beautiful.
I managed to take this picture before the sun came up.  That’s Jupiter there in the middle.
That bright horizontal line down near the lower third is the reflection of Jupiter on the asphalt.
Jupiter is bright.
